  1. 91 Toyota 4runner

These speakers were an easy upgrade, and a huge improvement to the stock speakers that had paper cones that had rotten away. To install in the front (in the stock speaker box) you need to break off two of the mounting brakets. The holes don’t line up perfectly – about 1/8″ short. Just angle the screws in to start and they will straighten out by the time the screw is tight. Hope that makes sense?

These speakers fit the rear speaker mount holes perfectly, but the hole in the stock rear speaker box is 4 1/4″. These speakers are 4″ in diamater so the speaker did not seal off the speaker box opening like it should. I left the stock speakers in since they were not rotted out. There does not appear to be an easy direct replacement speaker for the rear speakers.

  2. I bought these specifically because they said they fit Toyota style 4T mountings. I went to install them in my 1990 Toyota pickup and the tabs needed to be a 1/4″ longer to fit. I ended up using a dremel and some long screws to make them fit but my dash looks like crap.

The speakers work well however, they lack bass but they’re better then the old original paper cone toyota speakers.

  3. These speakers sound good and the price is right if you are replacing the original factory speakers. The sound is a little flat. I went the economical route because I am still using the 20 year old factory head unit. If I were to upgrade the radio or head unit than I would choose a different pair of speakers.

  4. Super deal for OEM replacement but mount screw holes Not a perfect fit for 95-4Runner, hole to hole spacing a tad short but do-able. This is no fault of seller.

  5. Will definitely purchase from this seller again; my order was received the day after I ordered it via UPS Ground – thank you! Surprisingly good sound from a 4″ dash speaker; did not expect any kind of bass response using my indash Blaupunkt head unit with no external amp but it’s better than I expected for cheap money. The snapoff mounting tabs made for a perfect fit in my 84 Mercedes 300d; took less than 20 minutes to install both sides.
