I bought this stand for a new Mitsubishi 73″ DLP projection TV. The TV, which is 65 inches wide, fits on this stand with room to spare. I could probably fit the 83″ version of the TV without a problem.
The stand’s frame is made of metal, and once assembled, feels very sturdy. The shelving is made of glass. I was worried about the glass shelves getting damaged during shipping, but they arrived in good shape. My only complaint is that the top shelf’s black coating on the bottom had chipped off from two places, but since the TV is sitting on top of those two blemishes, it cannot be seen. Assembly of the stand was fairly easy, and the instructions were clear.
I bought this stand from one of the “Marketplace” vendors, 6Ave. Shipping was prompt, the product was new, and delivery by UPS was uneventful. Overall, a good buying experience.
I had originally planned to buy Mitsubishi’s matching stand, but I found out that it was made of particle board while costing more than this stand. I’m glad that I chose this Tech-Craft stand instead. It is sturdy, and very nice looking. I’d recommend it.
